!! omg social club !!

I miss Bieste... BRING BACK THE BIESTE!!!  Seriously, this was, as Santana described, so damn charming... If I could have had a maple syrup I.V. I STILL wouldn't have gotten the saccharin overload this episode provided.  From Kurt's misplaced, unrequited love to the Sam/Quinn duet to Artie's virginity theft by the oblivious Brittney, this episode was loaded with sticky, sorrowful, and melancholy sweetness.

Episodes such as this, a great mix of humor, heart and amazing music are the very reason why this show is so damn popular!  Take a group of incredible singers, give them larger than life musical numbers, and stories relating to everyday life, and you are BOUND to have success.

I thought this episode had one of the strongest musical sets yet, particularly from Santana and Mercedes.  Kurt's number was incredible and I felt a special kinship since it is an old karaoke favorite of mine.  But beyond the ooey gooey goodness that was this episode, it spoke with an amazing amount of heart: our favorite characters moving on, trying to find love, trying to find themselves, and suffering both the rewards and consequences.

I must say, I do think the closing was particularly amazing.  Such a perfect song, for a perfect montage, for a set of voices that work so, well, perfectly with each other.

Well, people... what are your thoughts?!

i can't believe that i passed this post up! you are absolutely right about the shows closing. not only did it close, in absolute broadway fashion, but it stood strongly on its own. after defying gravity, i knew that one day i would get to SEE them sing together and this could not have been a better choice and it was an encouraging note that not only do we not need somebody to be happy, we could make happy with whomever we wanted. even with ourselves (non-sexual). i liked all the duets. honestly, the one truest to broadway was the one between Mike and Tina. it still rings in my head and the amazing chorography. it was delicious. remember to refer to former fans of glee who we lost after RHPS tribute so they can remember what the show was really about.
